Sverker Sörlin's current research includes the historical and contemporary science politics of climate change and the Anthropocene. He also has along standing interest in the history of natural resources and earthly elements such as ice, air, minerals, soil, and forest and their corresponding environmental field sciences. He has considered the role of humanities knowledge in exploring this emerging geo-anthropology, and is engaged in the policy and practice of the mission oriented ‘integrative’ humanities.
