The grant is established by The Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters based on testamentary dispositions made by the chemist, Professor, Dphil Aksel Tovborg Jensen.
The purpose of the grant is to strengthen the activities of The Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters. Among other things, this means that the grant is to support the grant accounts of the Academy, especially in the purchasing of medals, should the Academy wish to honor anyone with such.
Furthermore, the grant is to provide funding for a Bjerrum-Brøndsted-Lang Lecture (named after the chemists Niels Bjerrum, J.N. Brønsted, and Kaj Linderstrøm-Lang) that is to be held at least every other year.
For further information, see the instrument of foundation.
Next deadline for applications is April 1st, 2024.
Only members of The Royal Academy or people recommended by a member of the Academy will be taken into consideration.
